Our Super Kid for the month of August is a poised and competent student.  She is almost always the best behaved in the class.  She loves to read and her English pronunciation is great.  She is always willing and eager to participate and answer questions.  She is a gentle soul, and she is well liked by all of her classmates.  Our Super Kid this month has a super smile, even when there is nothing to smile about.  Keep up the great work, and congratulations Patty!

This Super Kid began the month of August in a not-so-super way.  But wow, talk about big changes and great improvements!!  This Penguin has always been extremely smart, kind, happy, outgoing, and funny, but he was also quite often a little naughty boy.  That naughtiness could at times be cute, but it was also affecting his learning potential in the classroom.

In the second half of August we saw this "Great Kid" transform into a Super Kid!  Not only was he smart, happy, outgoing, etc., he was also very well behaved.  Now he was paying attention during class, listening to his teachers, and doing all the things that he is supposed to be doing.  Not only are we happier, but he seems much happier too.  As a result, he is learning much more.

Our second SUPER KID for Hippo class is a young lady who has improved greatly in just the last couple of weeks. When she first came to school she was a little shy, easily distracted and found it hard to concentrate on school work.  She also didn’t like to eat very much.  However, recently she has made a huge turnaround, finishing her meals quickly and with a smile on her face.  She has also begun to try harder at math, counting and English, with good results so far.

Our Super Kid for the month of August truly deserves this award as almost all teachers have noticed his improvement. Academically, he is one of the best readers in class. Give him a word and he can read it without breaking into a sweat. His memory is so great that he can remember words and lyrics in just one teaching. Besides studying, this Super Kid loves any form of physical activity, from playing basketball to swimming. Such a big difference from last summer's swimming class, from a crying boy to someone who is so comfortable being in the water. He is so comfortable swimming that he can do acrobatics in the pool.
That is why we did not have any second thoughts in giving this Super Kid Award to Ian!!! You exemplify what a Super Kid should be! Keep up the good work!
